VIPER'S GAME

Another case for almost shatterproof Mike Locken -- this time on a small New Guinea island where the white population, maybe fifty in all from the mission to the consulate, are to be killed by a Che-type revolutionary and a local hill clan of ""black Tartars."" Locken and a seasoned killer, an ex-Marine, manage the getaway by makeshift train and finally plane -- not without indicting some of those more wonderful folk -- the CIA -- who made it all possible. His best yet and it detonates a lot of excitement.
