LONDON A TO Z by Robert S. Kane

Email this review

Mr. Kane has apparently given up continental coverage for citywide -- and this is the predictable A to just OK overview which -- after a little history -- plants you on your own two feet with map in hand for site by sight visits to landmarks, churches, memorial houses, etc. Beyond the fact that restaurants are tagged expensive or otherwise, and that the hotel section features three groups by class and tone, Kane does not commit himself to prices anywhere. The inclusions are soundly predictable if cursory -- theaters, night clubs, other recreations, what and where to buy it, and day long excursions for those who are city-based for the entire stay. Of course not a word of what has overtaken this lovely city in the last months which may curtail some of its and your activities.
