BEST LOVED TREES OF AMERICA

Pub Date: June 12th, 1952

This promises to be quite a lovely looking book, with its 293 half tones, illustrating the descriptions of approximately sixty of the ""best loved trees"". Those who have followed the material as it appeared In Home Garden will appreciate having brought together the informal places on familiar trees, something of their appearance (though his is not a field guide- nor yet a landscape architect's aid); their seasonal changes, with flowers and fruit, bark and root growth; their diseases and insect pests. The photographs accompany the text, and show the trees in full glory, at other seasons, with detail spot drawings showing bark and fruit. A book for tree lovers.
