Jerry is a model teen ager with normal enthusiasms, among which is sports car driving. He has a project for a municipally endorsed drag strip as guaranteeing for the high school fans the optimum conditions of safety. He has one consistent opponent, and when the man's child is almost killed by a car in which Jerry happens to be a passenger, the opposition becomes personally directed against Jerry whom he wants to railroad into a reform school. Somehow this does not come through with the note of authenticity which usually characterizes -- for instance - William Campbell Gault's books in this field, but is primarily a standard brand story of a frameup, set in the context of a lively issue, high school hot rodding.
