KIRKUS REVIEW

Another Bowen ball story takes Lou Sanders, a crack center fielder, through a rough deal in the big leagues. Stated for the managership of the New York Panthers, Lou is booted out when the owner's crooked nephew takes over. Then as a coach at a youth center, Lou finds solace in the success of a protege and enough spiritual welfare to tide him over until the nephew's tactics backfire, and a new owner makes Lou manager at last. Sanppy writing and sports savvy dredge ut the shallow spots.
