KIRKUS REVIEW

For baseball fans, Tunis style watered down. Jeff Royce, arrogant Boston millionaire brat who plans to cruise his way through life on papa's millions, faces the day when the millions disappear and a punk who can pitch is sort of on his own. A season on the lumber tract that had supplied his family with a fortune in the past does more for him than baseball. He routs the greasy villains, recoups the family fortunes, gets his girl, acquires the respect of the loyal family retainers, saves a man's life, puts out a forest fire and pitches that winning pitch --all in 206 pages.
