KIRKUS REVIEW

There is plenty of good stuff in this book, but it seems to me rather uninspired in its style and arrangement, a bit pedantic in the presentation of salient facts about squirrels and chipmunks, mice, rats and shrews, coons, skunks, rabbits, birds, amphibians, lizards, snakes, turtles, alligators, etc. Problems of feeding, of trapping, of the building of terrarium and so on. A book for boys practically interested in having a private zoo, on small or large scale.
