The murder of a Paris madam, Celeste, involve AMG Captain Hill and his Wac Sgt. in an investigation of her dealings with the Germans and in drugs, of her associates, and in a chase from a cafe to a dance hall, a hospital to a jail. Proceeding with perhaps greater agility than intelligence, this provides perpetual motion- but no great interest.
