ANNA AND DULA

This is an African idyll in bright color photographs which feature a pudgy blonde of eight or nine dressed a la Dorothy Lamour with blonde hair allowed to stream free, longer than Absalom's. She's a game warden's daughter and is shown frolicking with various small animals. There's a final section given over to girl-meets-gorilla. At this point the factual statement gives way to jazzed-up jungle fantasy. Girl and gorilla get lost (but the photographer was alert in the bushes). There's a silhouette profile shot of the girl and gorilla all puckered up for a big kiss. For reasons beyond the limit of the short review it made us laugh like hyenas. If you're examining the book, look at it. If you're buying from reviews, you'll only be missing a laugh in passing this by.
