KIRKUS REVIEW

Back again to his low water mark, after rising to unexpected heights in his last book,Operator No. 13. This is a swing-back to the semi-society novels of earlier days, he rants a bit, he overwrites continually, the style is atrocious, the characterization poor, the plot does not hold water. Pass it up.
