The author has made studies of various types of businesses and here analyzes the various practices that make for success and failure. He attempts to show how to get cooperation between the primary interests of owners, workers and customers and show how to discover the sore spots in business and how to improve conditions. By deep digging, one can uncover many practical suggestions, but the style is ponderous and pedagogic, and one has a sense of its being too much theory and not enough practice. Not easy reading.
