WORLD'S FAIRS by Roberta Fleming Roesch

WORLD'S FAIRS

By

Pub Date: July 6th, 1962
Publisher: John Day

With two new World Fairs on the horizon, one already open in Seattle and the other scheduled for 1964 in New York, this book should arouse interest. It is a slim volume which briefly mentions some dozen Fairs held in St. Louis, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and other American cities as well as two Fairs held in Europe -- London and Brussels. Why they are built and what they accomplish in terms of introducing new ideas and products and stimulating world trade is explained along with the significant features of each Fair in history.
