HOW TO PAINT TRAYS

The tremendous popularity of the Peter Hunt book showed that there was a yearning on the part of the amateur to try his hand at painting, even if only in the effort to transform some ugly object into something decorative. Though the title suggests a limitation, the book itself is really a basic instruction book on both stenciling and free-hand painting, with step by step instructions, fully illustrated; with basic material on equipment, paints, processes, how to make stencil patterns and how to use them. The final chapters deal with brush stroke painting and some of the finer points of decoration.
