DON'T FORGET TO COME BACK

Just about every obstructive tactic a child might use is attributed to Annie the evening her parents hire a sitter and announce that they are going out. Annie packs up to go along with them, tries unsuccessfully to project her anger (to her balloon) and contain it (by building a block fort), claims a tummy ache, hides, throws a tantrum, ""bops"" her parents with balloons, and insists that they find her lost blanket. The trouble is that all Annie's behavior comes straight from the early childhood textbook, and Harris dumps it out in too perfunctory a way to achieve even her utilitarian purpose.
