THE LAND OF EGYPT

A happy choice for a year when travel will probably be cruise-minded. Egypt, if the Mediterranean is open, should get a goodly percentage of tourists and this book will be almost like an escorted tour of the land with Mr. Fedden to explain his personal enthusiasms. There isn't a dull page in it, -- a perfect book to read ahead, to reread on board ship, to refer to on the spot and to keep for reading at home. Beautifully illustrated in the same manner as the English Countryside series it fills a very definite need in the guide book line as well. An informative book written in a light vein has been hard to find.
