MY PLACE IN SPACE

When the bus picks up Henry and his little sister Rosie, the driver innocently asks Henry whether he knows where he lives--and gets a lot more than he expects: a classic response that begins with their address in the country town of Gumbridge, in Australia, and goes on through hemisphere, solar system, and particular galaxies and superclusters to the universe. Meanwhile, as all this develops in the text and in Levine's airbrushed astronomical paintings, the little village below is a hotbed of hilarious activity and delightful detail--including signs on the bus and stores that amusingly evolve from page to page. A book to pore over, again and again.
