KIRKUS REVIEW

Two professionals on the topic of cosmetic care of the skin, treatment of imperfections, direct their slant to the doctor rather than the beauty parlor, to p scap and water rather than perfumed toiletries. How the skin functions, how it is (by blood not by skin foods); how the complexion reflects health and diet; daily care less overlay the better; diseases of the fat glands, infections, pigmentary dis birthmarks, moles, growths, inflammation, etc; care of the hair briefly (for a previous book Your Hair and Its Care) -- all given scientific considerations for the layman, and considerable criticism of commercial, glamor products. To layman, it seems sound.
