PETUNIA'S TREASURE by Roger Duvoisin

PETUNIA'S TREASURE

By

Pub Date: Sept. 29th, 1975

Duvoisin's sparkling collages have enough zing to make Petunia's latest folly as disarming as the first. Here she takes on airs upon finding what she assumes to be a treasure chest at the bottom of the river--but her nights are so riddled with worrisome dreams about defending it and her days so bothered by her cqually foolish barnyard friends' clamorous requests for gifts that she is relieved to discover that the trunk has been empty all along. Petunia remains the picture of silly goose-hood in both pride and adversity and her followers won't mind that she never seems to learn from experience.
