The author has retold 35 tales from Greek mythology and combined them into a continuous chronicle from the coming of the immortals to the last of the heroes. Here in a single volume are the adventures of Dionysus, , Heracles, Theseus, the quest of the Golden , the first fall of Troy, the judgment of Paris, the tale of the Trojan horse, the stories of Agamemnon, Menalaus, the wanderings of Odysseus. Since each tale is woven with logical precision into its correct position in the history of the Heroic Age, this can be treated as a solid narrative by those with a taste for mythology. For the less avid, the chapters can be read and enjoyed as individual stories. Either way, the tales are vividly told; above all, the organization is intelligent.
