ACTIONS AND REACTIONS OF ROGER W. BABSON

A book that is fascinating reading -- and hard to appraise. A very human document, covering the rich and busy life of a man of wide interests, to whom work, since his boyhood in Gloucester, has been the greatest of his pleasures, whose watchwords have been initiative, industry, courage and a simple life; firm faith in the spiritual life and constant humanitarian instinct. An honest autobiography -- a mine of opinion and comment on persons, events and theories, many of them controversial. Delicious dry humor -- shrewd philosohy -- earnest religion. First appeal --those who are interested in Babson as a statistician, and head of the largest financial advisory service in the country; but also interesting to many who like an essentially human book.
