THE HELLHOUND PROJECT

Twenty-first century ex-bum Thad McIntosh, impersonating one Robert Walbrook who's been on ice (literally) 50 years awaiting a leukemia cure, undertakes a risky investigation into big, ruthless Walbrook Enterprises' supersecret Hellhound--the ultimate anti-personnel device. Slick writing, prefab characterizations, judicious amounts of hardware. Goulart is zippier in short story form (see Nutzenbolts, p. 40), but this is a trek through some perennial (and obviously timely) sf motifs.
