THE PICTURE LIFE OF GEORGE BUSH

A straightforward account of the life and career of the newest US President, from birth to inauguration. The tone is mildly adulatory (""George was the most competitive of all the children, but he was always fair."" Always?). The main events of his career are outlined: big man on campus, war hero, oilman, politician, etc. The photos included, most of them in black and white, are adequate but unexceptional. Though major issues of the 1988 campaign are outlined, the only thing really controversial here is the lack of anything controversial. Index.
