Another English cartoon importation, whose finest flavor is in The Belles of St. Trinian's section, this collects various examples of a strange and sometimes wonderful art. St. Trinian's is a ghoulish girls' school whose little monsters, all in uniform, drink, smoke, kill and concentrate on being fiendish, and whose staff as gruesomely abets them. Other sections deal with macabre bits, with the eternal battle of the sexes, with social and domestic doings in a style that has a feeling of Mary Petty crossed with Virgil Partch. A connoisseur's item which is mordant rather than madcap.
