The outpouring of books on Biblical themes in recent months, while emphasizing the healthy interest in of the Word of God, gives pause to the values to be obtained from ""so much"" after ""so little"". God's Living Word, for example, pursues a special point --that the Bible in the Living Word of the Living God. While the thesis is certainly valid, whether repetition of much that has been said before to support this position can be justified to make a book is certainly questionable. Though much of what Father Jones says is original, much has been said elsewhere. Those interested in biblical exegesis will not find much that they did not know before, and yet they are probably the only ones who will bother to read the book. The one point Father Jones makes which deserves wider appreciation is that the Bible is intended as a tool of God for salvation of men of all times and should be interpreted in that framework. Those who have wondered about the authenticity of certain Biblical stories will find that God's Living Word supplies an explanation.
