BAKER'S MAN

The charm of The Merry Miller and No Ducks for Dinner to the fore again in this cockeyed tale of a baker's apprentice. Andres comes to Ufhofen to find work, and finds as well his mead of problems and of merriment. His boss, the baker, wants to join the circus and is letting his business go to pot. Happily enough, Andres takes over, but he is uncertain of the future until the baker follows his whim and- turning over the trade to Andres --departs for the circus. There's a rich flavor of European background in both text and Kurt Werth's pictures.
