A MAN FOR MARCY

Continuing the adventures of Marcy Rhodes, this sees her through the boy- girl troubles of senior year in high school, after her one-and-only, Steve Judson, has left for college. At first Marcy is overwhelmed. Instead of creating new interests, she and some other girls plan a club called ""The Widows""; she's dispirited when her mother decides to go back to nursing and is away from home a lot; she flares up when Steve dates another girl at college. But things turn when brother Ken gives bolstering advice, when Marcy takes on some hospital work herself, when an old flame Noel Cramer turns up for a date, and when another boy, Rick, vies with Steve. Still, it is Steve who comes around in the end. Self sufficiency and adjustability win out, but only after a thorough drenching in dates, make-up and the proper impression.
