Gausy teen-age date dilemmas in the vernacular by the author of Seventeen. Through some politic white-lying by fifteen-year-old Marcy's older brother Ken, she and Steve Judson happily pair off for Marcy's first near-steady dating. However, Ken's heart throbs when caught in the shares of the languid Devon, spur him on to some string pulling which results in a quarrel between Marcy and Steve. Pleasant flummery -- not too overcooked -- but the dateless reader may igh with envy. Also Marcy grows rily feline as she hits her stride, and Steve loses much of his manly dignity thereby.
