NO ROOM

By

Publisher: Coward, McCann

This has those sought-after qualities of good story telling material -- a true folk story with the rhythmic repeat pattern which catches and holds small listeners. Rose Dobbs has retold the story heard in childhood in a crowded east side flat. The story of a selfish peasant who thought he had no room for more in his hut, until he learned to know what it was to be crowded. Fritz Richenberg's line drawings are amusing. Too bad the book had to be printed on such sleazy paper.
