PEGGY PLANTS A TREE

Almost any adult sharing this book with a young daughter will learn a good deal about everyday trees, in this story of how city-bred Peggy found new adventure in the country in getting acquainted with her tree neighbors. And of how she was responsible for launching the idea of a community park made out of a vacant lot, and planted with trees selected by the children of the country school. At the end of the book are several pages of line drawings of leaves, under elementary classifications, which will help establish at least that basis of recognition.
