The author of that book on Sinfully Delicious Desserts now extends her range to snacks and finger foods . . . and more desserts. Grandma Rose's recipes include fancy and formal fare, like caviar blini or oysters Rockefeller, and less daunting ones, like spiced hamburgers. Often she varies to taste--her chicken salad calls for mayonnaise and sour cream, a crabmeat quiche for vermouth. The desserts--nearly half the book-run to the sweet and sticky: the recipe for fudge (""a lot of fudge"") lists a whopping eight cups each of sugar and whipping cream plus a pound of chocolate. Many require some time and fussing--roiling cheese and sardines into pineapple shapes, making radish roses--but few demand difficult procedures. For untroubled noshers and sweet-toothed sinners, it'll be heavenly.
