A HOME FOR HOPPER

By

Pub Date: Feb. 24th, 1971
Publisher: Morrow

A house is not a home for a frog, Andy discovers -- in what is not so much a story as a primer: ""Andy went outside to catch some flies. One, two, three, four, five. Andy caught five flies for Hopper."" One, two, three open receptacles having failed to contain Hopper, use of birdcage and bathtub having raised squawks, Andy is sad and Hopper is shedding (two) tears. Then sister Marica's boyfriend spurs the outfitting of a proper cage and everyone is happy: see Hopper grin. Part nature, part unnatural, altogether mechanical.
