Pleasant narration of a sort of helter-skelter family life, in another record of ""career parents"". This time it is Mother, who -- to balance Father's chasing of wild geese, persists in taking boarders to provide a steady income. She makes her guests part of the family, and makes the family responsible for the guests, and so manages to provide a constant source of surprises and activities for all. Mother comes up smiling from encounters with the unions, servants, impossible guests, -- a runaway wife, the drunken yodeler, and so on. Episodes galore, and fun reading. The background is Tucson and neighboring parts of Arizona. Good for local (the Southwest) sale, for the ""life with"" market.
