An afterword retells and expands upon the preceding information in adult language. The illustrations are neither effective (some Jagged masses supposed to represent shadows on the Water) nor pleasing (sickly dime-store coloring.) Mr. Hutchins and Mr. Connolly also collaborated on Travels of Monarch and Lives of an Oak Tree.
