THE DAY IS DANCING and Other Poems

An unordered miscellany of rhymes that touch juvenile experience and association--the natural and the supernatural--with elfin observations. Some will elicit small grins: ""There are two dippers in the sky,/ At least, that's what they say./ Who tipped them up and spilled the milk/ That makes the Milky way?"" Many are simple pleasantries forced into effusive rhyme: ""A dandelion, turning gray,/ Shook her silver locks one day;/ And down below, a beetle going/ Through the grass, cried, 'It is snowing!'/ He ran so fast they called him 'Sprinter!'/ And all because he thought 'twas winter."" A sugary morsel without much sustenance.
