KIRKUS REVIEW

The first book on the subject I have seen and the fact that it is English is no deterrent. The emphasis is on miniature roses for outdoor, garden use,- in special beds, in borders. In rock gardens, in troughs -- and almost as an afterthought, in window boxes or window sills. There is adequate coverage of the hows, wheres, and whys of location, soil, culture, gation, treatment of disease and pests. Lists of varieties include floribunda (rel new), climbers, and there are indications as to height.
