FISH AND GAME COOKERY

Written by an experienced sportsman, this will doubtless prove a culinary delight for camp cooks de luxe, plus supplying the sportsmen who count on taking game home with the necessary information for care of game and fish in the field, for preparation for transportation in a way to preserve as much as possible of the initial flavor. There are instructions too for the fine points of cleaning, skinning, drawing the blood, etc. Then, for those who plan to use what they've taken in camp, there is advice on utensils and equipment, provisions, building different kinds of fires, etc. The actual recipes are more in the nature of specific instructions for cooking all types of fish and game, including such out of the ordinary items as beavers' tails, armadillo, etc. Soups, sauces garnishings, vegetables are included.
