The Carson children arrive at their summer home to find that a disagreeable neighbor intends to claim part of their property for his own, thus making this their last summer at Ocean House. But Ted's clever sleuthing uncovers the land grants forbidding Farmer Howell's infringement and endowing our ""detective"" with the full-fledged trust of the formerly suspicious neighborhood ""secret society"" club. Aside from precious documents Ted and his sister and cousin also dig up an old pirate schooner and manage to round up their motley crew of rambunctious pets. The familiarity of the plot places this in a grossly over-populated category and leaves us yawningly unmoved.
