KIRKUS REVIEW

The appeal of a volume of this kind is obvious, -- dog lovers, Kipling fans, and that border line market of older boys and girls. Sell in both juvenile and adult departments. A limited edition, signed by the artist, Marguerite Kirmse, will be issued September 1st, at $7.50. The book will have a first edition value in view of the fact that there is a new story, A Sea Dog, included. The collection includes also Private Learoyd's Story, Garm -- A Hostage, The Power of the Dog, Quiquern, The Dog Hervey, Dinah in Heaven, The Woman in His Life, Four-Feet, Thy Servant A Dog, The Great Play Hunt, Toby Dog, The Supplication of Black Aberdeen and His Apologies. An additional factor in the limited edition will be a quick sketch by the artist.
