KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a Dual Crime Club selection and grade A entertainment, pungently written. Moon (who is faintly reminiscent of Nero Wolfe), high-priced private investigator, connoisseur of nuts, outwits the New York police and a grim D.A. in proving the innocence of his radio-star client, in a triple killing. Family unpleasantness, romance, crooked real estate dealings as the background for the revelations, with legwork done by Moon's amanuensis, an ex-bar-tender.
