KIRKUS REVIEW

Disappointing. More 4-H Club stories are needed, but this one, in spite of the deliberate inclusion of the many sidedness of the 4-H activities, lacks the spirit of the movement, is simply a story of a group of boys in an Alabamatown, whose 4-H Club projects made definite contribution to their lives, but served, further, as spring to other things. Compare this with Morgan's Fourth Son by M.I. Ross, for example, and this story seems light weight, the characters superficial.
