SECRET OF BLENNERHASSETT

This is more history than story, or so it seems to me. Into the Aaren Hurr scheme for empire in woven a story of two Philadelphia girls, of how one met and loved an Englishman, bound for that part of Ohio where Plennerhassett was a symbol of alignment with Burr's schemes; and of her friend, who came out to visit the young couple. Thread of romance gives this book some appeal for older girls, but on the whole I thought it disappointing in its plot structure.
