SPEAK WITH EASE

By

Publisher: Van Nostrand

While the purpose of this book is different from Hegarty's How to Write a Speech (see P. 626), there are many parallels in advice on preparation and organization of material. Less emphasis is given here, however, on actual content, style, etc. and more on techniques of putting over the material. A combination of the two should prove valuable. Stage-fright, its causes and values; varied uses of public speaking, including serving as program chairman, introducer, master of ceremonies, member or moderator of a panel; talking on radio or through a public address system, these are some of the situations discussed in practical fashion. A good book for self-aid in speaking.
