AMERICAN TREES by Russell T. Limbach

This will make tough competition for the tree book on Knopf's list, (see page 377). There are fifty-five different kinds of trees and the price is half of the earlier volume. There are six double spreads in color plus end papers and three full page pictures by the author. Also black and white sketches of leaves, blossoms or fruit. You had better place the two books side by side and decise which you like best; both are fine additions to your shelves.
