I never thought much about Greenland. But Mrs. Owen, our diplomatic representative to Denmark, has given it reality, taken it out of the geography book and put it on my map of remembered places. For she makes it human, vivid, present. She has a gift for utter simplicity, for putting her own personality into what she writes. Let us hope this is simply a panel of a larger work, this diary of her trip last summer to Greenland. The book has charm and is delightful reading. Should be easy to sell to discriminating readers.
