KIRKUS REVIEW

Hank was a perky wire-haired who loved Dick very much and was pretty resentful of the new little black kitten. The kitten wanted to be friends, and pictures on every page show Hank trying to get away from its attentions, while the text is in primer style- with repeated phrases and words- for beginning reading. Louis Darling's delightful black and white drawings are full of action and uncluttered, and reproduction in both pictures and type is refreshingly sharp. Of course the kitten eventually wins out!
