This seems an obvious rehash of old truths, how to gain emotional maturity, self-confidence, how to act your age, how to get on with people, how to achieve independence, relations with the opposite sex, question of a job, the give and take of living. Skirts such problems as sex, drinking, etc., which makes it seem very simple and rather dated.
