Tod Glasby, a seventeen-year-old who is very: attached to Mom, becomes a victim of ""the corruption that has spread to Casperville"" when he accidentally catches her making a little extra on the side. Mom, who has done it all for Tod, commits suicide. Tod, distraught becomes his own private detective and heads for the mysterious ""Bill's Place"" and villainous company in the form of Bill's daughter Bernice who teases, doesn't please and dies. Then there's her nice sister Angic, despised by her father and her involvement with Detective Shell, but the question really is who killed Bernice. A sick slick.
