A first novel, I think, by an author who has two juveniles to her credit, is a first rate circus yarn. The open road in England, small traveling circus with an authentic ring, and a story revolving around a circus-struck small boy and how he grew up in the life he loved -- well done and good entertainment. There is a similarity of plot to Charles Cooke's Big Show, which to my way of thinking is the best circus story I have read since Toby Tyler. But the English countryside background makes a good contrast for your sales talk.
