KIRKUS REVIEW

A companion book to A Picture Book of Palestine (1947) and like it supplementary reading for Sunday School and Bible Classes, this is again primarily a reference book. From ""abiding"" to ""yoke"" and ""zeal"", Biblical words are defined according to their use in those times, and ably illustrated by Ruth King. Both text and pictures have been checked by Catholic, Protestant and Jewish authorities. Intended for use by the children themselves, this should also be called to the attention of those adults interested in religious education.
