Causes and conditions of spinsterdom, whether social, family, career, personal; the need of making a home; of getting on with people; types of social adjustment; work; relations with children, with men. Straight survey, based on interviews, and of sociological value rather than of help to the individual. Not to be compared with the Katherine Bement Davis of some years back either for thoroughness, realistic approach or courageous honesty.
